Try your hand at weaving on the SAORI loom. Grab a book and lounge chair and get inspired indoors or outside by the river.

Join artist Sarah Nassif and MWMO staff for the opening of Personal Watersheds, an interactive fiber art exhibit and installation that celebrates the Mississippi River and our personal connections to it. Please RSVP to attend, but tickets are not required. Drop in for part or all of the event.

Weaving Water is a new public art project by Minnesota artist Sarah Nassif exploring the intersections of water, weaving, and community. Take part in an experimental dyeing and weaving session, try out natural dyeing to create weft material. Feel free to bring cloth from home to cut into strips for dyeing and weaving. White or neutral colors are best, for example old t-shirts, tea towels, pillowcases, or sheets. 

Sarah Nassif is a fiscal year 2018 recipient of an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
