Weaving Water at North House Folk School

  • North House Folk School 500 West Highway 61 Grand Marais, MN, 55604 United States (map)

I am spending the year exploring the intersections of water, weaving, and community resilience. Join me at Northhouse Folk School to take part in an experimental dyeing and weaving session.

Bring bring cloth from home to cut into strips for dyeing and weaving or use the materials I provide. White or neutral colors are best, for example old t-shirts, tea towels, pillowcases, or sheets. Work on the SAORI loom and experience weaving!

Sarah Nassif is a fiscal year 2018 recipient of an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
